Krakow's citizen budget has 424 verified projects. The important stage now is appeals, not voting

Krakow's thirteenth citizen-budget edition received 821 proposals. The city reported that 424 passed verification: 357 district projects and 67 citywide projects. Another 201 were rejected during substantive and legal review, 157 failed formal review, and 39 were withdrawn or merged with other proposals.

What to know

Those figures should not be read as the final ballot. Verification tests whether a proposal is complete, lawful, feasible at the proposed location and accessible to residents. It does not measure public support. The political choice comes later, when residents vote among the projects that survive the full procedure.

The immediate deadline concerns project authors. A protest can be submitted against a negative substantive and legal assessment, but not against a formal rejection. The city set 13 June as the deadline, with protest meetings planned for 22-26 June. Authors use their account on the citizen-budget platform and the Your projects section to file the justification.

What it means

The next date for ordinary residents is 17 July, when the city plans to publish the list qualified for voting. Project authors can withdraw a proposal until 28 August. Until those stages are complete, a rejected project may still return through the appeal process and an accepted project may still leave the list.
