Getting a first Krakow City Card is still an identity-and-photo task

For a new resident, the Krakow City Card is less glamorous than an apartment lease, but it is often what makes daily transport easier. ZTP explains that a first KKM can be handled through passenger service points with an application, identity document and photo, or through the electronic passenger account route.

The main reason to do it properly at the start is that period tickets and free-ticket entitlements are tied to a carrier. ZTP notes that a person may use one carrier for a period ticket or free entitlement, so duplicate paths can create confusion rather than convenience.

Before visiting a service point, prepare the spelling of your name exactly as it appears on ID, a current photo if required, and the ticket type you actually need. The desk can process a card; it cannot decide your commuting pattern for you.
